Aargh Matey!

In case you didn't know, Kaemon loves pirates. Grandma Waford gave him a real pirate ship complete with some booty (that is pirate treasure), cannons and a brig. He also has some pirate books. One of them has a glossary at the end with pirate words and phrases that he has been incorporating into his vocabulary. For example:

  • Walk the plank you scurvy dog!
  • Shiver me timbers!
  • Aargh matey!
  • My dad is stronger than your dad.

OK, that last one is not in the pirate book, but he does say that to other little kids. Hey - a pirate has to have some back up sometimes. He also told me that pirates only like kisses from their moms so that is a relief for me.

The other night when he was saying his prayers he said, "Thank you that I am a pirate and I get lot's of money and treasure."

What a good boy.

Mohawk Madness

Here is my baby with a mohawk. Everyone thinks we cut his hair this way but this is a natural growth pattern. (We haven't cut his hair yet.) I think that he got it from his daddy... Kristofor circa 1993.

OK, now that I have December out of the way, here I am. Are you wondering about my hair? How does red and orange stripes sound? I didn't love it but it has calmed down and now it looks pretty good. Kris helped me do it and then he did his. For some reason his turned out a lot cooler than mine did. Oh well.

We had a great Christmas. The kids got all got some type of device that rots their brains. (Nintendo DS's and Leapsters) They were thrilled. They have been plugged into them since they opened them. Today was their first day back in school and they are going through withdrawal. I got an iphone. I didn't think I was that good but I guess Kris did. ;)

We went snowboarding a lot. Kobe is a little ripper. The lifties couldn't believe he was only 5. Kleese and Keeran are doing great too. Last year Kaemon got a Lucky Bum harness thing. We had to get something because he just wants to point his board down the mountain and hit jumps. Here are some pics from Pebble Creek, ID. User error!
